The Troglodytic Valley of Goupillières proposes either a guided tour or a self-guided visit, in which you will discover 3 farms dug into the tufa stone with their wells, baker's ovens, cattle sheds, grain silo and medieval underground refuge.

Once you have completed the visit, you can benefit from the site’s exceptional setting by taking a walk past a vineyard shelter from the last century, as well as taking advantage of our children’s installations (cabin, fortress, witch’s house, animals) where kids of all ages can let their imaginations run free.

While travelling through the Touraine, Jean-Pierre Sanguier, who is an avid photographer and originally from the area himself, gave us the honour of identifying 16 different species of butterfly on the Goupillieres site.

Some of these are rare and ephemeral and they were catalogued during a period from April to August.
